Welsh Government Minister Edwina Hart AM and Julie Morgan AM visited Llandaff North to see progress on the new footbridge at the railway station and to talk to traders with local councillors’ Dilwar Ali and Sue White.
The footbridge, with lifts to enable access for people using wheelchairs and buggies, is almost completed. It is hoped the bridge will be open in the middle of next month and the lifts will in action around December. The old bridge will be demolished in the New Year.
Edwina and Julie said they were “delighted” to see that the new bridge, paid for with help of Welsh Government funding, was nearly finished. Both of them enjoyed a coffee afterwards at Lew’s where they spoke to traders and local residents.
It was good to see a Minister and Assembly member taking a genuine interest in local people and issues.
