Highway Tree Managment 2012/13

The Council will shortly be commencing it’s 2012/13 cyclical tree maintenance programme for Llandaff North. The work in the Llandaff North area will consist mainly of crownlifting trees over carriageways and footpaths, removal of epicomic growth (Suckers) and the pruning of trees back from buildings and street lights. Dead and the dying trees will be removed and these stumps and other stumos from previous fellings are scheduled to be ground out and the site replanted with new trees, budget permitting. The Council anticipate having the bulk of the planting completed by the end of January 2013. The tree survery has been completed for Llandaff North and total of 5 trees are scheduled for felling/removal at the locations listed below:

Bala Road – 1x Norway Maple (Sapling) Outside No. 2
Mynachdy Road – 1x Common Ash Cultivar (Small) Outside No. 167
Bacton Road – 1x Rowan (Small to medium) Outside No. 26
Colwill Road – 1x Large leaved lime (Sapling) Outside No’s. 50/52
Gabalfa Aveune – 1x Small leaved lime (Sapling) Outside No. 90
