A request has been received from a resident to consider the gulley at 8-10 Clarbeston Road for closure. Council have proceeded with a resident consultation exercise and will advise you of the outcome and proposed best course of action.
This gulley has been looked at previously, and due to objections to closure received, a gating order was granted in December 2009 and gates were erected in June 2010.
At this time Council would like your views on whether you would support this request to close the gulley in principle, and also if there are any issues you would like us to consider and would be grateful if you could respond to us within 28 days.
For your information, if closure was to be pursued it could be many months before Council would be in a position to carry out works as Planning Permission, Stopping Up Orders, Right of Way and Land Transfer Procedures are long processes that are required by law to be undertaken.
