Cardiff Council has recently updated Councillors Ali & Burke Davies with regard to fire safety in the high-rise blocks in the local area.
Dilwar & Jennifer have been informed that the high- rise blocks are not clad in the same material that was used in Grenfell Tower, the site of the tragic fire. The council will be carrying out further checks to ensure there are no other issues with the cladding.
These checks will be carried out on blocks over the next 2 weeks. Local residents may notice workmen inspecting the panels on the outside of the building. There is no cause for concern and these checks are a precaution only.
Fire safety remains the highest priority for Cardiff Council and issues that are identified will be put right without delay.
If you would like to discuss any issues in relation to the above please do not hesitate to contact the Tenant Participation Team on 02920 871 777.
